For Thanksgiving, we visited my hometown in East Texas. The weather was gorgeous, so we took Andrew and River for a walk along the county roads that surround the house where I grew up. The leaves had changed colors and the tree tunnels that covered the road were vibrant colors of yellow and orange. It was gorgeous, and we stopped along the way to snap a few photos.
Fall is my favorite time of year. I love how the trees shed their leaves and prepare for the harshness of winter, knowing they’ll survive the storm and spring will come again. It makes me think about how we all face harsh seasons in our lives and fall is the hope that if we can just bundle up and make it through, there will be spring on the other side.
