When it comes to summer style, there isn’t much easier than a maxi dress. And when you’re looking for easy festival style, a maxi dress — done right — is the perfect wardrobe piece.
The thing about festivals is that it’s usually pretty HOT…and when I think of being in the heat in a maxi dress, I cringe. A long skirt sticking to your legs is not fun for anyone. BUT this maxi dress excels in keeping you cool with a long slit up each side. Perfect for showing a little leg, too.
Paired with my favorite Kendra Scott necklace and a flower crown, I was more than ready to tackle any festival in this outfit. Luckily, we were spending the day at the Scarborough Renaissance Festival!
Dress: J.Crew Factory (c/o Grand Prairie Premium Outlets®) | Necklace: Kendra Scott | Bracelet: Kendra Scott | Sandals: old (similar) | Bag: Coach (similar) | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban | Feather Tattoo: Mr. Kate
Of course, it helps when you can accessorize with a cute toddler and some Italian ice.
What’s your go-to festival outfit?

That floral crown is crazy-gorgeous!! Love it with this simple grey maxi. So chic and easy!

Nice style, thanks for the photo. Lately, I’ve been shopping on the intermix website, which has a large selection. You can read intermix reviews to see their reputation.
A summer maxi can be a great option for easy festival style, offering comfort and effortless flair under the sun. Its breezy silhouette and vibrant prints give off carefree energy, perfect for dancing through long festival days. You might pair it with a festival hoodie for cooler evenings, adding both function and a stylish edge to your look. There’s always a chance that layering a light hoodie over a flowy maxi can balance comfort with standout fashion. It’s worth considering if you’re aiming for a relaxed yet put-together vibe.
