Do you need a quick snack for your kids off to school? These Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Granola Bars are the perfect snack for school when stored in Ziploc® brand Snack bags with Easy Open Tabs. With school starting around the corner, it is time for our family to prepare. Let’s be honest, we all need to be prepared whether we are in the school mode or not. It just makes life easier.

As my husband and I were sitting down to prepare our master schedule of recurring events this school year, it hit me that summer vacation really is almost over. So for the next week, I will be checking off school supply lists, going through clothes, cherishing the time I have left with my kiddos at home and precooking snacks.  With a crazy schedule like ours, I have to do all I can to be prepared now.

While I was at my local Smith’s picking up groceries, I bought my Ziploc® brand Storage, Freezer and Snack bags with Easy Open Tabs.

Right now they are running a promotion:

  • 8/9 to 8/30: $0.50 off regular retail price on:
    • Ziploc® Sandwich Bag 40ct
    • Ziploc® Sandwich Bag 90ct
    • Ziploc® Snack Bag 90ct

I love the new bags, and that they are color-coded, so I don’t have to see the box to know which bag I am getting. I store my Ziploc® brand bags in the same drawer, so the colored tabs are a big plus for me.

I love sending homemade snacks with my kids to school. I like that they don’t have all the additives and can be made with more healthy options. My go-to school snack, and my kids’ personal favorite, is peanut butter chocolate chip granola bars. These are so tasty, gooey and simple to make.

I make them ahead of time and freeze them in Ziploc® brand Freezer bags with Easy Open Tabs. The recipe is easily doubled and this way I am prepared with some in the freezer when I need them. We all know how busy we can get and having these in the freezer is the perfect way to be ahead of the game.

When you are ready to use them, just pull them out and place them in Ziploc® brand Snack bags with Easy Open Tabs. They are the perfect size for the granola bars and the Easy Open Tabs make them easy to grip and open.
