A few weeks ago, we got the chance to have a Hawaiian Falls Pflugerville Family Getaway, and I wanted to share the details of our trip with you!
We have driven by Hawaiian Falls Pflugerville *dozens* of times — with family that lives on the Texas Gulf Coast, the waterpark is right on our way!
But this time, the fun Adventure Park was our destination.
We loaded up and headed south — about three hours later (thanks, Dallas traffic), we were at our hotel! We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites Austin North located at 14620 N IH 35, Austin, TX 78728. It was a great hotel for our trip — right on the way, and not too far from the park!
Hawaiian Falls Pflugerville Family Getaway
The next morning, we headed to Hawaiian Falls Pflugerville. The entrance is right off the tollway, and you do have to pay to park, which is different from the Dallas-area parks that we’ve been to. But the park is so much bigger than we anticipated!
Like Hawaiian Falls White Settlement, it’s an Adventure Park and not just a water park. But it’s so much bigger!
There are tons of feet of zipline — three different ones! And the Big Island Adventure Trail features rope bridges and tunnels on three levels. Plus there’s the Challenge Course, which has a zip line at the end as a reward for making through all three levels!
This is perfect for older kids. The height requirement kept Andrew from participating, but we still had a great day!
We had a cabana for the day, and that’s definitely the way to go. It includes food and unlimited drinks, plus a cabana attendant to make sure all your needs are met. The cabana backed up near the lazy river, which was perfect because we could just go get in for a few laps, then get back out to relax!
Speaking of the lazy river, we LOVED it! You got to float under the adventure park, which was so cool! Andrew would have stayed in there all day if we let him! It’s definitely his favorite park of Hawaiian Falls!
We also really loved the kids area — there were tons of spouts splashing water, which led to a deeper pool with lily pads and logs that the kids could jump across. Andrew loved this!
And while he was still too small to tackle the bigger rides, we had a great day. The lazy river and the kids’ area was enough to keep him happy and entertained, and we enjoyed an awesome day together as a family!
Such a fun destination if you are looking for a quick trip from the Dallas area. It would make a great hurrah before school starts!
Disclosure: We are partnering with Hawaiian Falls this summer to bring you information about their fun parks! We received season passes and other perks — all opinions are my own!
