This week’s question:
“If you have, or would have a daughter, what book would you want your daughter to read?”
The Nerd and I don’t yet have any children, but I’d want my daughter to read Graceling by Kristin Cashore. I love that it’s about a strong heroine who has a dark gift, but accepts it and uses it for good instead of evil. Katsa makes her own choices and accepts who she is. I really like that.

I’m going to have to go with Jenn on this one — I’d love to have a library in our house with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. We’re running out of room on the bookshelf in the Nerd Cave, and I really need a new set of shelves anyway. 🙂

I haven't read Graceling yet, but everyone I know whose read it tells me that the heroine is kickass. I should really get onto reading that!

Everyone can always use more shelf space, it seems! I'm making the effort to keep everything tamed down to merely one bookshelf! So far, so good. The local library is reaping the rewards of me thinning down my collection.
I just finished reading Nightshade. Such a good book, I really enjoyed it. I should have a review of it up, fairly soonish.
