Disney Inside Out Cupcakes

These Disney Inside Out Cupcakes are colorful, bright and fun — just like the characters that they represent in the new Disney-Pixar movie!

When we decided to throw an Inside Out Party to celebrate Disney’s new film, I knew that I wanted to serve some special cupcakes. I decided to make piñata cupcakes filled with chocolate candy in the colors of the major characters of the film.

The film is all about the surprises that await you inside your head, and what better way to represent that than a surprise inside a cupcake?

Disney Inside Out Cupcakes

 

Here’s what you need to make Disney Inside Out Cupcakes:

1. Baked cupcakes, cooled and ready to be iced
2. Small circle cookie cutter
3. Small chocolate candy — red, green, blue, yellow, and purple
4. Icing in red, green, blue, yellow, and purple

Using the small circle cookie cutter, remove a section of each cupcake. You’ll want to keep the top portion so that you can replace it. Hollow out a section and fill it in with candy, then replace the top.

Ice the cupcakes as desired.

When you bite into them, the candies will fall out!
