Disney’s Big Hero 6 hits theaters this week, and my son could not be more excited. We got to attend a screening of the movie, so we had a fun Big Hero 6 celebration with these Baymax Popcorn Balls and some fun merchandise from Walmart!
I picked up some Big Hero 6 story books at Walmart so that we could get to know Baymax, Hiro, and the other fun characters before seeing the movie.
Baymax is definitely Andrew’s favorite, so I wanted to make a special snack that we could enjoy before heading out to the theater. These Baymax Popcorn Balls were a big hit!
They’d be perfect for a Big Hero 6 birthday party or just because!
Baymax Popcorn Balls
Makes 12 popcorn balls
Ingredients
4 cups popped popcorn
1/4 c white chocolate chips
20 Jet-Puffed Marshmallows
1/4 c butter
Black candy melts
Directions:
Place the popcorn and the chocolate chips in a large bowl. Set aside.
Melt the butter in a medium saucepan, then add in the marshmallows. Stir constantly until the marshmallows are melted. Pour into the bowl of popcorn and stir to coat well.
Dampen your hands, and mold the popcorn into ovals that are about 2 1/2 inches across. Set on wax paper and allow to harden.
Melt the candy melts according to package instructions and add to a piping bag. Draw two dots connected by a line to make Baymax’s face on each popcorn ball.
Aren’t they fun?
And speaking of Big Hero 6, we LOVED the movie. It has such a great message and focuses on the importance of science. The characters are awesome, and Baymax is really special. I don’t want to give away anything, but Andrew is *still* quoting the movie days after we got to see it!
Are you excited to see Big Hero 6?

These popcorn balls are SO CUTE! I’m incredibly jealous that you’ve already seen the movie. I can’t wait to take my kids to see it! We’re all really looking forward to adopting a new hero like Baymax into our lives. #client
