Wet Ones at Six Flags Over Texas

Disclosure: I wrote this review while participating in a campaign for Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Wet Ones. I received free admission to Six Flags, attended an informational and complimentary luncheon, and received a gift bag and promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.

Every summer growing up, my family would make the trek from East Texas to Dallas for a day at Six Flags Over Texas. I have so many fun memories of those trips, I couldn’t wait to take Andrew!

I got the chance when I was invited to an event hosted by Mom Central Consulting and Wet Ones at Six Flags last weekend. The Nerd, Andrew and I headed to the park excited to spend some family time together.

When we got out of the car in the parking lot, Andrew saw the roller coasters and started yelling, “Wheeeeeee!” To his dismay, he was too little for some of the rides, but he LOVED the ones he was able to ride. The swing ride in Looney Tunes Land and the Yosemite Sam ride were probably our two favorites.

But the BEST part of the day for Andrew was definitely meeting Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny. The moment he saw Daffy, he started yelling, “QUACK! QUACK!” It was too cute.

Being the pasty family that we are, I was really concerned that Andrew would get sunburned. I brought two cans of spray sunscreen for the day, along with some sun lotion to use on our faces. When I went to reapply, though, the Texas heat had run its course and sunscreen mixed with sweat.

That turned into a disaster (or, perhaps, a sticky situation) when my hot, fussy toddler decided to rub it all into his eyes. Yeah, so not fun. Thankfully, I had a package of Wet Ones to clean his face and hands. So, the stinging and crying didn’t last too long. Next time, I’ll know to wipe his hands BEFORE he has the chance to rub his eyes.

Hey, you live and you learn.

During lunch, we had the chance to learn some more about Wet Ones and their uses.

  1. The #1 things we touch that have germs are door knobs!
  2. It’s important to sanitize your hands BEFORE you eat. Individually-wrapped Wet Ones wipes are perfect for this!
  3. Kids hands get DIRTY! Throw some Wet Ones in your child’s gym bag so they can wipe off their hands after a game.
  4. Keep some in your purse or diaper bag — you never know when you’ll need them!

When soap and water are not available, Wet Ones® Antibacterial Hand Wipes are an effective alternative to clean hands and prevent the spread of germs. Wet Ones® Antibacterial Hand Wipes are proven to be just as effective as gel hand sanitizers in killing 99.99 percent of germs, but they also clean better than hand sanitizer gels, wiping away dirt and messes without drying out skin like alcohol-based hand sanitizers.

Wet Ones sponsors the Six Flags Karaoke Gazebo — and they’re the perfect partner for Six Flags! When you’re out and enjoying the day with your family, Wet Ones are a necessity!

The karaoke gazebo was so much fun — some of our group’s kids got up and sang. They were adorable! Love these girls! I’m sure their mom (Courtney) is so proud!

We had such an awesome day. We made some great memories at Andrew’s first trip to Six Flags, and I know there will be many more!

Have you ever been to Six Flags? What’s your favorite thing to do there?

Awww! Heath made it into your swing picture. 😛 This was so much fun! That karaoke sounds like it was a total blast.
I bet you’re already planning your next trip. By the way, am I the only one that’s already used up a whole package of Wet Ones? They’re so handy for soooo many sticky situations.

How fun! Six flags is actually fun with even little kids. We got passes to six flags (and hurricane harbor) this year with my brothers family and his kids (three under 5) always have fun. I am partial to the slower rides. Lol iI like the… Spelunkers cave ride – or whatever they call it now. 🙂
