We have had such a wonderful Christmas. Andrew had a lot of fun and we loved spending time with our families!
The Nerd’s family came up to visit and we were able to spend a couple of days with them. We had a yummy Christmas Eve dinner and opened presents together before they had to head back home early Christmas morning. Andrew loved playing with Grandpa, Grandma and Kate. He opened presents with Kate, chased the puppies with Grandma and even stole Grandpa’s toy plane.
Christmas morning, Andrew discovered that Santa had visited and brought him a train set. He was so excited to see it! He also opened some more presents from Mom and Dad. I think his favorite was Maximus from Tangled, his favorite show of all time.
That afternoon, we went to my brother’s house for Christmas dinner. River, Eli and Andrew got to open presents and went outside to play in the snow. We ate a delicious meal (thanks, Alex!) and settled down to watch the Dr. Who Christmas Special together.
I cannot express enough how blessed we feel and how wonderful it was to see everyone. Andrew had a wonderful time and it was so great to see his joy in spending time with all of our loved ones. When I think back to this time last year and how much he has changed, my heart is so full.
