As a college football fan, I made this Sweet’N Low Tailgate Punch in Team Colors as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars. #SweetNLowStars
During college football season, my family spends most weekends in College Station, tailgating and watching the Texas A&M Aggies. Last weekend was our turn to host the tailgate, and I’ll be sharing some of the recipes I made over the next little while. First, I wanted to share this really fun Sweet’N Low Tailgate Punch.
My favorite thing about this alcoholic drink — besides how refreshing it is on a hot September Day — is that it’s super-easy to change the recipe to incorporate your favorite team’s colors. I made a few well-known teams as examples below, but really, the sky is the limit!
And if you use 100% juice, the recipe is diabetic-friendly since it incorporates Sweet’N Low.
To make the drink stirrers, I stamped letters onto popsicle sticks and then painted two lines of team colors. So fun, right?
Tailgate Punch
Yield: 1 12-oz drink
Ingredients:
2 oz silver tequila
6 oz 100% fruit juice
1 splash of fresh lime juice
1 packet Sweet’N Low
Directions:
Combine ingredients in a mason jar and stir well. Add ice.
To get an Aggie maroon drink, I used 100% cranberry-cherry juice. Gig’em!
For Alabama, I used 100% cranberry juice to get a bright crimson red.
Florida orange was achieved using 100% orange juice.
And LSU purple was easy to get with 100% grape juice.
Connect with Sweet’N Low on Facebook for even more fun recipes!
What team will you be rooting for this season?
Yum! And the stirrers are adorable!
