Last month, I had the chance to sample some of the Summer Favorites at Joe’s Crab Shack, along with some classic menu items. It was a fun lunch with several of my blogging friends, and my mouth is still watering at some of the items we got to try!
I just love the atmosphere at Joe’s Crab Shack. It’s so fun and upbeat! The wait staff dances to fun music — they even did the Cupid Shuffle while we were there! Our group had an amazing time: Jamie, Dawn, Courtney, Debra and Jennifer.
The Southern Citrus Campechana, a version of the classic Mexican seafood cocktail with shrimp and crabmeat, was a light, fresh way to start our meal.
The Crispy Clam Strips were, surprisingly, my favorite item of the day. I did not expect to love them as much as I did, but they were delicious, especially dipped in tartar sauce. I’m still dreaming about them.
New Tiki Cocktails include the Run Barrel Long Island Tea, the Sailor’s Mai Tai and the Hawaiian Margarita. My personal favorite was the Hawaiian Margarita, but the Sailor’s Mai Tai was tasty, too!
The Queen Crab has the sweet flavor of a snow crab but breaks apart easier so you can get down to the tasty meat. It was recommended by several of our servers, and with good reason. So yummy!
The Crab Cakes Dinner is a classic dish at Joe’s Crab Shack, and I can see why! The delicious meat fell apart easily and was one of my favorite items that we sampled.
The Coconut Shrimp was another classic that we enjoyed. While I’m not a huge coconut fan so I decided to pass on this one, many of the other guests raved about this dish. They sure do look pretty, though!
The Spicy Citrus Steampot was really yummy. It’s got Dungeness crab, sweet Snow crab, boiled shrimp, sausage, a fresh ear of corn and new potatoes spiced with TABASCO sauce.
The Fisherman’s Platter is an assortment of classic items and is a great way to sample many different things. So good!
The Crabby Apple Crumble was rich and decadent with caramel sauce drizzled over the top.
I was all about the Campfire S’mores — they were so tasty. YUM.
The Paint-a-Crab rice krispy treat dessert is the perfect thing to entertain little ones. I could just see Andrew going to town on that thing! Jennifer’s son, Charlie, loved it!
I absolutely loved getting to try some of these special menu items — I definitely recommend it for a night out with your family!

I’m impressed, I must say. Seldom do I come across a blog that’s both educative and entertaining, and
without a doubt, you have hit the nail on the head.
The problem is an issue that not enough people are speaking intelligently about.
Now i’m very happy that I stumbled across this in my hunt for something
concerning this.
