San Francisco: Ferry Building and MarketBar

February 15, 2011 by Arena Blake 3 Comments

The first stop on our Adobe Girls Photography Getaway was the Ferry Building in San Francisco.

This place was incredible. It had a Farmer’s Market inside with all kinds of fun things, like homemade macarons.

And Polar Bear cupcakes.

Photo_Getaway-036.jpg

And cheese!

Photo_Getaway-031.jpg

Lots and lots of cheese.

Photo_Getaway-032.jpg

I could have taken home all this cheese in my suitcase.

If, you know, I didn’t have to sit on my suitcase to get it to close in the first place.

Photo_Getaway-042.jpg

So much fresh produce, it was unbelievable.

Photo_Getaway-049.jpg

And these things! Do you know what these are?

Photo_Getaway-052.jpg

Lemon Plums! Don’t they look so cool? I wish I had tried one, but I didn’t.

Photo_Getaway-071.jpg

Look at this fun pasta! I could’ve made a mean pasta salad with this!

Photo_Getaway-073.jpg

Or this pasta! OMG – it’s ZEBRA!

Photo_Getaway-076.jpg

The building was just gorgeous.

And the pier out back was a great place to eat. Or feed the pigeons. Whatever.

These ships just pulled right up.

Photo_Getaway-110.jpg

We had an *amazing* lunch at MarketBar.

It was *so* good!

After an amazing lunch, we headed out to explore San Francisco. I’m planning on writing several posts chronicling our stops (so I can share all my photos!) with a wrap-up post of the event at the end.

So be sure to come back to hear about our adventures from the rest of the day!

Thanks for looking!

**Disclaimer: Adobe paid for my trip to San Francisco. They flew me to California, put me up in a swanky hotel and provided nourishment for my tummy. I love their products and endorse them of my own opinion.**

Beautiful photos! I was just THERE (Ferry Building) about 2 weeks ago when I had a 10-hour layover in San Fran. My day was *really* cold though!! But the Farmer's Market was really cool & I ended up eating at the burger joint that was on the end.

So glad someone was there to photograph all the stuff I missed ;)!!! Loved looking at your photos. That food was so yummy. I wish there was a MarketBar near my small town.
