Hey y’all. My name is Melina and I am one of Arena’s reader friends. We first met on Twitter where I love to chat about books, and then we met in person at a Sophie Jordan and Kiersten White book signing. We’ve been book besties ever since!
I feel right at home here because I am also pretty nerdy. Did I mention that I am 11 years old and I have been keeping a book review blog, called Reading Vacation, for nearly a year? I like to think that I what I lack in age, I make up for in reading enthusiasm and general nerdiness.
There are tons of books I am excited for in 2011. I read all sorts of young adult and middle grade books.
Don’t go trying to pin me down to a favorite genre though because I read them all – dystopian, girlie chick-lit, paranormal, fairy tale retellings, Steampunk, myth-based stories, historical fiction, and mysteries.
Below is a list of the books I am most looking forward to reading this year. The first section are books due out in 2011 that are part of a series.
Doesn’t it seem like everything is a series anymore?
The second section is for books by debut authors. Oh, I can’t wait to read them ALL. Enjoy!

Hey guys — Arena, here! I am so thankful to Melina for sharing her most-anticipated books of the year! I discovered a few new titles to add to my wish list, and I hope you did, too!
Can I just say how impressed I am with Melina? She is such an amazing girl — blogging at only 11 years old and such a staple in the book blogging community.
I wish I was that motivated when I was her age!
Don’t forget to go check out her site — she burns through books so fast, there are new reviews constantly!
Happy Reading!

My goodness, I was just like her at that age…minus the blog. Bravo Melinda!

I love Melina, her blog and her reviews! I always have a hard time believing she's 11 because she writes so much better then many adults (myself included).
Almost all of those books are on my WL too, but there are a couple I'll have to add. It's a great list!
Alice
Melina! You just rocked my world by tuning me into the steampunk series. I'm always looking for more steampunk.
Also, "Divergent"? I just received an ARC of that in the mail and will start it this weekend. I'll let you know how it goes!
Jessi E. (The Elliott Review)
Melina, our lists are very similar, though I am quite behind on some of the serial titles! Eeek! AKA Iron series… Must read it. I have all three of the books that are out now, but I haven't had time to read them yet.

Melina – what a great post. I've added a few of the books to my wishlist. 🙂
