We’re celebrating National Ice Cream Month this summer with rainbow ice cream cones filled with delicious vanilla ice cream!
These delicious cones would be perfect for a summer birthday party! We decided to accent the color with delicious Old Fashioned Vanilla ice cream from Mayfield Creamery.
Mayfield ice cream uses fresh cream from their own dairy – with no artificial growth hormones – from family recipes that have been perfected over three generations. It’s creamy, delicious, and the perfect treat on a hot summer day!
Rainbow Ice Cream Cones
Here’s what you need to make Rainbow Ice Cream Cones:
- Sugar cones
- Candy melts — we used green, blue, red, orange, and yellow
- Colored sprinkles
- Mayfield Creamery Old-Fashioned Vanilla ice cream
Start by melting each color of candy melts into its own microwave safe bowl. For ours, we heated them for 1 minute on 50% power, stirred, then heated again for 30 seconds on 50% power.
Spoon the melted candy into a bowl, keeping the colors touching but separated.
Dip a cone into the melted candy, pressing it up against the sides so that you get color down the sides of the cone.
Place into sprinkles to coat the top of the cone. Allow to harden.
Spoon vanilla ice cream into the cone. Serve immediately!
Mayfield Creamery ice cream is available in the Dallas-Fort Worth area at Tom Thumb, Albertsons, and Market Street stores. (Suggested Retail Price: $5.99)

Banana splits for family game night! Bananas, ice cream, chocolate syrup, strawberry syrup, caramel syrup, hot fudge, nuts, M&M’s, whipped cream, and a stack of board games. All to be enjoyed by my husband, my 10 years old daughter, my 3 year old son, and me.

No matter how fancy the ice cream gets, I still love McDonald’s McSwirl, and I’m dedicated to it, just like I am to my partner granny sexdoll
