Lately, my son and I have been traveling nonstop visiting family. When we’re gone, we often try to talk to his dad on the phone in the evenings before bed, but, being a toddler, my son often gets distracted and doesn’t want to talk for too long. Enter Kinskii, a new way to video chat.
Kinskii on Kickstarter
I can’t wait to support Kinskii on Kickstarter — this project is exactly what my traveling family needs! Kinskii is a combination of video chat technology and simple human connection through play. The video chat platform will be easy and secure for your family, through a contact list that you can create for your child to chat with.
The program allows you to do everything with your loved ones, from chatting, to playing games together. Each game is designed to encourage engagement, conversation, and education. Video faces can be on a caterpillar’s back, walking through a zoo, or even on a rocket ship to the moon!
Can you imagine setting up a play date with a parent that is stationed overseas in the military? My husband’s grandmother lives in Canada, and we try to video chat with her every once in a while. Imagine the fun that she and Andrew would have if they could play a game together?
Here’s a look at one of the games in the platform — they are wanting to add a TON more to connect with every child.

How do you try to connect with family that’s far away?
