I Have a Problem…

So…I may have a teensy, weensy problem.A problem with holiday decorating.

You see, it’s November 4th, people. It has been November for four days.

And I’m *dying* to put up my Christmas tree.

I want to so badly!

I really don’t think I’m going to make it through this weekend without some form of Christmas decoration being put up.

Seriously, I have a problem.

Last night, I decided we would go “browse” for new holiday decorations.

I practically ambushed The Nerd when he walked in the door from work.

We got those lovely red ornaments from Pottery Barn.

Aren’t they pretty?

And we found this Christmas tree at Target:

It’s November 4th.And this is just the beginning.

Thanks for looking!

I have a problem…with buying Christmas decorations too early! I bought these lovely ornaments in early November.

I see nothing wrong with putting up the Christmas decorations now but my husband makes me wait until after Thanksgiving…:)

There is a Christmas shop an hour away from where I live, snuggled in a small village that sells Old World Christmas ornaments. I love the breakable ornaments our grandparents used to use. And…I shop all year around. Each year I buy a couple ornaments that represent that year in some form or another. Christmas is my all time favorite holiday! I'm a little kid. (Hugs)Indigo

I try to wait until the actual month of the holiday to decorate, but it's so hard when the stores are already filled with Christmas stuff.

I am right there with you. More so this year since my husband and I will be moving right in the beginning of December so I won't be able to decorate. Ah! The thought is killing me! So I think it would be okay if you decorated a little early, it's like you'll be making up for my lack of decorations 😀

it's so strange for me knowing that Americans have to wait to get Thanksgiving out of the way. do most people start decorating for christmas before Thanksgiving hits?

I say put it up. Who cares? The department stores already have theirs up. Hobby Lobby has had theirs up since August. If it makes you happy why not do it?

I'm with you. I want the tree up and everything once November hits. But the rest of my family feels differently. So we usually put it up right after Thanksgiving.

Although last year my mom was in a "cleaning" mood and dismantled Christmas on Christmas evening/night! I refused to help. Of course towards the end I did help just because I hate for her to have to do everything herself.

I told her this year she can NOT dismantled Christmas on Christmas. To at the very least wait until the next day. When I was a kid, the tree didn't come down til sometime around New Year's Eve or so. Although now we'll have a 2 year old running around the house, so it will likely come down on the 26th or 27th. Which was part of the reason why it was dismantled early last year because we had a 1 year old on the loose!

I'm like that but with Halloween. I love it! But for Christmas I hardly put up anything 🙁
So you can double the decorations to make up for my lack of them!

I'm itching to put up my tree! My family usually does it before Thanksgiving or ON Thanksgiving. I have my own mini tree I put up in my room 🙂

I'm thinking of putting it up soon. I'm excited with all the holiday decors up in stores and at the malls already!
