This is my beautiful Chevy Equinox.
I love this car.
I got it two years ago. It is the perfect car. It’s roomy and economical and pretty.
Like I said, I love this car.
But you know what I hate?
Gas Stations and Blind Spots.
They really, really, really don’t mix.
You see, yesterday, I was pulling into a gas station to fill up my Equinox.
I had to turn around the pump to get it onto the right side of the car.
And that’s when I heard a loud, awful SSSCCRRAAAPPPPPEEEEEE down the passenger side of my car.
Yup, I rammed the side of my beautiful car alongside a poll at the gas station.
And it wasn’t pretty.
You see that plastic trim along the bottom of my car? Yeah. It bent up so that the passenger door can’t be opened.
I cried after it happened.
Of course, the poll was shorter than my car, so with my blind spot, I couldn’t even see it.
It makes me sick just thinking about it.
And I don’t have time to get it fixed until Friday.
Let me just tell you, it was a crappy day.
So, I ordered myself some of these shoes.
What can I say? I needed a pick-me-up.
In light of all that happened, I didn’t get around to making Day 9 of the 12 Days of Christmas Cookies. And I probably won’t until this weekend. So, there will be a short hiatus from that for a bit until I can have time to get back to baking.
I promise the cookies will be just as sweet, though!
Thanks for looking!

OH GOSH! Sorry about your car!
Judyy
Aww, that sucks. So sorry! Doesn't help that it's happened at such a busy time. I hope you get it fixed OK and soon!

I'm sorry about your car. That stinks!
My husband used to drive a Jeep and backed into a similar pole that was right in his blind spot.

Big hugs chica!

I'm sorry you ran into that pole! Don't worry; your pretty car will be pretty again in a day or so.
I had car problems myself — of a different nature though. Broke down last night – cold, rainy, dark…had to get towed. Big repair bill today. All equals a crappy day for me today!

Awwwwww I did the same thing several years ago with my giant Sequoia. I now own a Highlander, much better 🙂
