Keep your kids’ tummies full with Foster Farms® Original Sausage and Pancake Wraps this summer at the pool.
With summer in full swing, we are living at the pool. We spend every day there, and my kids LOVE it. With all of the swimming that they do, their little tummies get so hungry. Whether we are at the pool or the water park, my kids always want to buy something from the snack bar. Not only are the snacks they sell not healthy, but the cost totally adds up.
I don’t mind splurging every once in a while but in general I try and bring food with us. Even though I try to bring snacks, I often run out of time in the morning when we are rushing out the door.
While I was at Walmart, I saw the Foster Farms® Original Sausage and Pancake and the Sausage and Pancake Bacon, Egg and Cheese Pancake Wraps. My kids always want to buy corn dogs at the pool and I thought this was a great compromise.
I love that they are made with turkey sausage and it saves me so much money to buy them and cook them at home myself.
Even with our 9 am swim lessons, I still find time to pack snacks when I use these. I love how easy it is to throw them in the microwave, wrap them in foil, and pack them. My kids love having a warm snack after their swim lessons, and I love that I am saving a ton of money.
I also use the Ibotta coupon app. They have a buy 1 package of either variety of Foster Farms® Pancake Wraps and get $1.00 off coupon. You must sign up for Ibotta to unlock the coupon but it is so simple.
Go to the app store and search for Ibotta. Then simple download the app onto your phone, tablet, or device. Once you open the app and register (name, email, etc), just search for Foster Farms® and you will find it!
Here are my go-to ideas for saving money at the pool and water park:
1) Pack a pre-packaged food that is ready to go like Foster Farms® Pancake Wraps. I think the number one reason I waste money on food at the pool is because I run out of time before I leave the house. These are quick and easy.
2) Freeze a water bottle overnight and then use it in your cooler to keep items cold and drink it throughout the day. It happens to all of us, running out of water. Don’t waste your money on water.
3)Pack a lot of fruit and vegetables. When I feed my kids fruits and veggies at the pool with a few treats, I find their stomachs stay full longer and we can all have a better time. There is nothing worse than a whinny kid at the pool (expect maybe 3 whinny kids!).
4) Always have a sweet treat. All kids love something sweet, so don’t get caught in the trap of buying candy bars. I love that the Foster Farms® Pancake Wraps are sweet and my kids view them as a treat.
Do you have any tips for saving money at the pool? What is your favorite thing to take?
Happy Summer!
