I’ve been in a planning frenzy this week, trying to come up with Easy Elf on the Shelf Ideas. This fun tradition is something that our family hasn’t yet gotten to do, but I plan to tackle it head-on this year!
Here are a couple of ideas that I’m planning to do with our Elf.
Easy Elf on the Shelf Ideas
In Texas, it very rarely gets cold. And it never feels quite like the North Pole. So I imagine our Elf will miss that cold climate.
So, our Elf decided to build a snowman. We found him hanging out in the freezer with his creation. So fun!
To build the snowman, I added some crushed ice to my food processor and pulsed it until it was fine enough to mold. I created snowballs with the ice, then added a scarf that I cut from felt, pipe cleaner eyes and nose, and some buttons.
Adorable, right!?
I also wanted to come up with a clever way for our Elf to say goodbye, when the time comes. You can never plan too early, right?
I used some snow spray to create an Elf outline on our door with a message from our Elf. This was *so* easy to do, and I just know that kids will love seeing this little goodbye from their friend.
Cut out the Elf on the Shelf Outline template and tape it to a glass door or window.
Spray Santa Snow around the template, making sure to cover it completely.
Add some extra snow below the Elf outline and use your finger to write a message in the snow while it is still wet. Once the snow has dried, remove the Elf outline and wait for your kids’ excited reactions!
