Easy Canvas Prints {Review & Giveaway!}

July 18, 2011 by Arena Blake 45 Comments

UPDATED: The Contest is now Closed.

Easy Canvas Prints-005.jpg

If you’ve read my blog for very long, you know that I often go through life with a lens in front of my face. I have hundreds of photos from the last two years, all taking up space online or on my hard drive.

But very rarely do I actually get prints made of my photos. I don’t know why. Maybe I’m just too lazy. I often wish I had more prints and I tell myself I’ll get more photos printed out.

So when Easy Canvas Prints contacted me earlier this month for a product review, I jumped at the chance.

It was SO HARD for me to choose just one photo to have printed on a canvas. Our kitchen is in serious need of decoration, so I thought one of my recipe photos would be really cool as a canvas.

I really love my Pies in a Jar photo, so it’s the one I chose. I LOVE how it turned out!

Easy Canvas Prints-001.jpg

I opted for the thicker 1.5-inch edges to the photo, since I didn’t plan on framing it. I think that makes the photo look really classic.

The color in the photo is so rich and vibrant. It reproduced beautifully on the canvas.

The sides of the canvas are mirror images of the photo.

Here’s the back of the canvas.

Check out the fun logo on the back!

I am really, really pleased with this product and will definitely have more of my photos made into canvases in the future!

And now, for the best part! Easy Canvas Prints is offering a free 8″ x 10″ x .75″ canvas print for one of you!

How awesome is that??

How do you win?

The photo I would have made into a canvas print is the closeup of a lotus flower that I took on my trip to Vietnam. It’s bright pink with a yellow center and super close up so the flower fills the whole frame. It’s one of my favorites I’ve ever taken because of how it’s cropped. I would love to see it on canvas!

I took a picture of an old barn in Tennessee a few years ago when it was snowing. It’s absolutely gorgeous and would love for it to be on canvas! Thanks for the giveaway!

Wow, okay, I just have to say, I got hungry by the canvas!
I’m serious, I just want to tear the pie apart and shove it in mouth!
Yeah, I haven’t ate, probably that’s the cause for my little predicament there.

Now, what photo would I have printed if I win?
Well, I’m not really sure but I was thinking since my favorite book series, The Vampire Diaries, there is raven mentioned, but also in some other stories…But then I thought why not the Mockingjay from The Hunger Games!
So if I were to win, I would have the Mockingjay placed in the middle, with its wings open (Mockingjay from the book cover)and the background would an orange hue, the color of the sunset.

I would have them print one of three pictures that Bryan took on our honeymoon in Aruba. The first is a picture of of wooden table for two with brightly colored wooden chairs looking out across the white sand and the brilliantly blue water. The second is a really neat picture of a giant palm tree with green coconuts still attached set against the blue sky. The third choice is a of a sailboat on the ocean at one of the prettiest sunsets I’ve ever seen, with two palm trees wrapped in Christmas lights framing the scene. Lol it really depends on what color we end up painting the bedroom!

If I were to win the easy canvas contest, I would have a beautiful photo of Mount Hood that I took while at my sisters wedding last year in Hood River, OR. She has her ceremony in a beautiful vineyard with a view of Mt Hood in the background. It had been rainy and cloudy all day. Just after the actual ceremony, the clouds moved out and the sun came right down on the mountain. There was fresh white snow on the Hood and beautiful shades of pinks and reds reflecting on the few small clouds that remained near the top of the mountain. It could be one of the most magical scenes I have ever witnessed.

It’s a great story about overcoming your reluctance to print photos! It makes sense that with so many digital photos, choosing which ones to print can be overwhelming. But it’s nice to have tangible memories that you can see and enjoy every day.
