This year, we’re getting together with a group of families for a Halloween potluck before heading out to trick-or-treat. I wanted a fun, spooky snack to bring, so I made these Bat Cheese Balls and Oreo Monsters.

I used Wheat Thins to make the wings on the Bat Cheese Balls — they’re perfect for dipping! I plan to serve them with a bowl of extra Wheat Thins so that everyone can get their fill of this delicious snack!

I shopped at Walmart to pick up the ingredients for these snacks. The Halloween Oreo cookies were so fun, I couldn’t resist making some easy Oreo Monsters with them. They took me less than 10 minutes to make, and would be a great dessert for a Halloween Party!

Bat Cheese Balls

Yield: 9 mini cheese balls

Ingredients:
4 oz goat cheese
2 oz cream cheese
1/8 c pesto
2 Tbsp poppy seeds
Pimento sliced green olives
1 box Wheat Thins

Directions:

Mash together the goat cheese, cream cheese and pesto in a small bowl. Chill for one hour.

Take one teaspoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Repeat until the mixture is gone. Roll each ball in the poppy seeds until the outside is coated thoroughly.

Add two slices of olives with pimentos to the front of the cheese balls for eyes.

Cut the Wheat Thins to remove the bottom corner and make them look like wings. Add two Wheat Thins to each cheese ball.

Aren’t they cute?

And now, for the easiest Halloween snack ever…Oreo Monsters!

Oreo Monsters

Ingredients:
Halloween Oreos
Airheads candy
Candy eyes

Cut the candy into different sized circles — I used some metal measuring spoons as a guide.

Add layers of circles onto the tops of Oreo cookies, then top with candy eyes.

My son LOVED these and gobbled them up immediately!
