Rockin’ Railroad at Kidville

Andrew has always loved music. When he was an infant, he would turn at the sound of music playing. Even now, he will drop everything and turn to the television when music starts playing.

So when I was offered a complimentary membership to Kidville as a contributor for Dallas Moms Blog, I instantly knew that we’d be taking their Rockin’ Railroad class.

Sesame Street Live – Dallas, Texas #VZWA

Last weekend, we had the chance to see the Sesame Street Live Dallas, Texas, show at Verizon Theatre in Grand Prairie. I knew Andrew would LOVE this show. So even though he was feeling a little under the weather, we decided we couldn’t miss seeing Elmo and his friends.

I’m so glad we did, because Andrew had a BLAST! Our seats were so great! Andrew was completely immersed in the story. He loved when the characters would come onto the stage and kept “talking” to them!

A Day at the Dallas Pumpkin Patch

Pumpkin Patch-022.jpg

Last week, we went to a Dallas pumpkin patch with my brother and his family. I mean, that’s what everyone does during the month of October, right? We had a lot of fun and I think the kids did, too.

Hall’s Pumpkin Farm and Corn Maze was so cool, with a corn maze for the kids and a vintage Chevrolet truck. There was even a tractor to ride, which Andrew loved.

Dallas World Aquarium: Dallas, Texas

Dallas World Aquarium-007.jpg

This weekend, we took Andrew to the Dallas World Aquarium in the Historic West End.

This place is really more than an aquarium. There was this giant rainforest in the middle, with tons of different animals — monkeys, birds and fish. It was so beautiful and so fun.

But the best part was when we actually got to the aquarium. The shark tank alone was worth the price of admission.

Andrew made it about half-way through the aquarium before konking out. The Nerd and I still had fun, though.
