During our trip, we made a point of visiting The Louvre in Paris. I could have spent days admiring the works of art in there.
From the minute we walked in, we were lost. The Nerd was our navigator, while I tried my best to wrangle Andrew into staying in the stroller. We were cranky and tired — this was the day before we left Paris. I knew time was running out, and I wanted to make sure we saw everything we could.
We had no idea where we were going (we were trying to find the Mona Lisa!) but we were together, as a family. It was frustrating at the time, but looking back, it was one of the best days of our trip. It’s funny how, in the moment, you expect things to go a certain way. When they don’t, your attitude shifts and the meaning gets lost.
I’m going to try to remember that from now on. But hey, I’m only human, right!?
I was shocked at how tiny the Mona Lisa was. And how giant The Last Supper was. And the richness of the stained glass windows. And the polished feel of it all. To think that these items were held and created by some of the greatest people to ever live just takes my breath away.
One of my favorite memories will always be visiting The Louvre in Paris. I will never forget our watching our little man, who had had ENOUGH of the stroller, wander down the halls past paintings five times as big as he was. He paid no mind to the significance and the history around him. He was just a happy little boy, doing as he pleased.
We were there. We saw these treasures. Andrew won’t remember, but one day, I’ll show him these photos and tell him about the day. About how he played on the floor in front of centuries-old paintings, how he crawled close to The Last Supper. I can’t wait for that day.

Oh. He’s so adorable! Sweety!
run away 3D
This is something I talked about with a friend. Run 3 is a fun and addicting endless runner game set in the future. You control a self-falling ball on a 3D track, mixing old and new game mechanics. A fast-paced game with some strange high-tech parts.
