Visiting Starfish Point in Grand Cayman was one of my favorite experiences during our Carnival Cruise.
We booked the Starfish Point and Stingray City excursion through the cruise line. The great thing about this excursion is that kids three and under were free — so I only had to pay for a ticket for myself!
Once we took the tender into Grand Cayman, we boarded a van to a dock and rode a boat out to Starfish Point. The ride wasn’t long, and my son loved being on the boat.
Visiting Starfish Point in Grand Cayman
We were so excited to be visiting Starfish Point in Grand Cayman! The water was crystal clear and calm, and my toddler loved swimming around and seeing the starfish on the bottom of the ocean floor.
Holding the starfish was so cool — Their mouths are at the bottom and in the middle of all of their arms. They would occasionally suck on your hand, which Andrew thought was so funny!
We had a great time lounging on the beach and swimming in the beautiful water. Other families were snorkeling, and there was a reef with a ton of colorful fish. It really was a great place to spend the morning!
Too soon, we were called back to the boat to embark on the second part of our excursion — visiting Stingray City! I’ll share more photos and details about that adventure in another post.

Disclosure: Carnival Cruise Lines hosted our family for this trip and provided accommodations and other perks. All opinions and photos are my own.

The Starfish Point excursion sounds like a dream. The fact that kids three and under go free makes it even more enticing. Your description has me picturing the crystal clear waters and the unique sensation of holding those fascinating starfish.
