This month we are celebrating our love of pets with Netflix. Some of our favorite shows star pets, but our one of our favorites has to be Garfield. My kids love all the silliness and the fun that Garfield and Odie have. So in honor of Garfield, I am sharing my go-to recipe for lasagna. It is so easy and tastes SO MUCH better than the frozen ones at the store!
Three Cheese Lasagna
What you need:
1 lb ground beef (Italian sausage is delicious too!)
1 onion diced
Your favorite spaghetti sauce
Box of lasagna noodles (I used whole wheat)
1 T dried oregano
1 1/2 C small curd cottage cheese
3 C mozzarella cheese
1/2 C parmesan cheese
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brown meat with onions. Add seasonings and spaghetti sauce. Mix cottage cheese and 2 C mozzarella cheese in a bowl. Cover bottom of 9×13 pan with uncooked noodles. Spoon 1/3 meat mixture over noodles, then 1/3 of cheese mixture. Repeat layers 2 more times ending with cheese. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheese on top. Cover with foil. Bake for 1 1/2 hours. Serves 10
