O Beautiful For Spacious Skies

July 6, 2010 by Arena Blake 10 Comments

I hope you all had a fun, safe Fourth of July holiday!
I know that we did.
On Sunday, we went to Big League Dreams in Mansfield, Texas with my family.
River had lots of fun playing in the baseball field until the fireworks show began.
(Oh, come on. You knew I had to sneak in a shot of my beautiful niece…)
I was bound and determined to try my hand at taking photos of fireworks.
It took me a while to figure out the settings.
We were really close and my 85mm lens had trouble getting all of the fireworks in the frame.
A lot of the photos just looked like psychedelic strings. I imagine that’s what it would look like if I was high.
The fireworks show was really impressive.
Too bad my photos don’t really capture the beauty of it.

Oh, well. You live, you learn.
There’s always next year.
Thanks for looking!
We had the perfect seats to catch the Fourth of July fireworks this year.

We watched those fireworks as well! (From my brother in law and sis in law's house nearby.) Unfortunately, I forgot my camera all together so I got no fireworks pictures. 🙁

Yours look pretty good! Glad you had a good 4th!
