Did you know that you can make a bow from wrapping paper? It’s actually really easy, and is a great way to add a unique touch to holiday gifts.
One of my favorite things about the holidays is choosing gifts for friends and family — and wrapping them! I love choosing coordinating wrapping paper, ribbons, and bows. I like for all of our presents to coordinate — you know who they’re from just by looking at them.
And wrapped presents under a tree is just one more way to coordinate your holiday decorations. It’s a stylish touch that anyone can pull off!
I like to make bows from wrapping paper for our gifts — that way, the bows match the paper and I can make them any size that’s appropriate for the gift. Plus, if you run out of bows, you can use leftover wrapping paper to whip some up. Fun, right?
This year, I wanted our gift wrap to feel stylish and sophisticated, so I chose metallic gold and red paper with some matching patterns. It perfectly compliments the gifts we’ve chosen — like an Anne Klein boxed set from Dillard’s.
The Anne Klein boxed set features a great dress watch and several coordinating bracelets. I adore the sophisticated look of this set — the watch and bracelets are gorgeous and would be perfect for a holiday party, or to wear to church.
I found this set at Dillard’s. It was so easy to stop in while doing my other holiday shopping and pick it up.
The watch and bracelets can be worn together for an on-trend stackable look. Most pieces are self-adjusting and their classic design makes it easy to pair them with your own jewelry.
The Anne Klein boxed set comes in a gorgeous jewelry box that is easy to gift. I just added a wrapping paper bow to ours for a chic look.
Make a Bow From Wrapping Paper
Here’s what you’ll need to make a bow from wrapping paper:
- Wrapping paper
- Double-sided tape
Cut 1-inch strips from your wrapping paper — you’ll need three that are 8-inches long, three that are 6-inches long, and one that is 3-inches long.
Hold a strip of wrapping paper with the white side facing up, and twist one end to create a loop with the decorative side showing. Tape into place and repeat with the other end.
Repeat with all of the 8-inch and 6-inch strips.
Stack the 8-inch strips on top of each other to create a star — tape into place.
Add the 6-inch strips and tape into place.
Create a loop with the remaining strip and tape in the center of your bow. Use tape to adhere your bow to your gift.
What’s at the top of your holiday wish list?

This is an easy way of making a bow from wrapping paper. My best friend birthday is coming next month and I have ordered a moment album for her from PikPerfect promo code, and I will be decorating it with this DIY bow, to make it more special.
