Ever since it opened last year, I have wanted to visit Hawaiian Falls Adventure Park in White Settlement. A few weeks ago, I finally got my chance when the park hosted an exclusive event for local bloggers. We got a behind-the-scenes look at the park before it opened!
There are four Hawaiian Falls waterparks in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, in addition to the Hawaiian Falls Adventure Park in White Settlement. Each location offers water slides, kids splash play areas, a lazy river, wave pool, and more! It’s the perfect place to spend a hot summer day.
We spent most days at the Hawaiian Falls waterpark in The Colony last summer. Andrew loved the kids splash area and wave pool. We’re planning on going back this year, and can’t wait!
What sets the Adventure Park apart, though, is the zip line and ropes course. You have the chance to soar above the park on more than 1,500 feet of zip line.
Take on the ropes course — three levels of fun with 45 activities. Start 2-feet above the ground at “The Training Academy” and work up to the seasoned level at 30-feet high. The reward up top is a mini-zip line –- 400-feet long starting at 60-feet and flying down to 12-feet. Each level of the ropes course offers “Challenge By Choice” activities that will entertain all ages and levels of courage.
Those looking for even more fun and adventure will enjoy the 40-foot climbing wall and Cargo Net. You can even drop 60-feet from the sky at the Extreme Free Fall.
And don’t miss the Family Adventure Trail, where kids of all ages will enjoy climbing over and under 17 bridges surrounded in rope nets.
We had the chance to try out the ropes course — y’all, it was terrifying! But oh so exhilarating! It was a great workout, too. Not only did the obstacles require balance, but it took strength and skill to navigate them. It was a lot of fun!
My favorite part, though, was the zip line. It was awesome! There’s nothing like soaring high above the ground. Such an adrenaline rush!
Make sure to bring close-toed shoes, shirt and shorts when heading out there so that you can participate in the Adventure Park activities.
What would you want to try at Hawaiian Falls?
