Fetch in the Snow!

January 17, 2011 by Arena Blake 12 Comments

Last week, we got an unexpected surprise: SNOW!
I always get excited about snow. I live in Texas, land of unexpected weather.
Snow is a rare, but fun, part of that.
So, when our backyard was covered in the fluffy white stuff, I took The Minions out for a little fun.
Kaylee *loves* to play fetch. So we had a little game in the snow!

When I threw the ball, it would get buried in the snow!

It took her a bit, but she usually found it.

Notice I said *usually.*

She looked all over.

But it was always right in front of her face.
Does it snow a lot where you live? Or are your flakes few and far between like ours?
Thanks for looking!

Your dog is precious, is it a beagle?! I had one growing up and she was amazing, now dearly missed by our family. Enjoy the snow 🙂

Super cute! I have never met a dog who didn't love the snow. I suspect that one I had growing up might have been one. Sadly, it never snowed enough for us to find out.

Very cute! I love the little picture captions. We just got 5 inches of snow. The most we've had since 1983!

Awe Kaylee's really cute 😀 my dogs like to eat snow, except for my chihuahua, he goes outside and gets back inside as fast as he can.
We get tonnes of snow, you get sick of it to be honest. We got about half a foot just last night and even more before that. I'm crossing my fingers that it stops soon…I really don't wanna shovel the sidewalk again. lol

Aww how adorable! I live in Canada and we get tons of snow where I am. It's so freaking cold out today and I forgot my hat and felt like my ears were going to fall off. LOL

Sometimes I wish I lived in a warmer place, but then I wouldn't be in Canada and I would miss that part. *sigh*

    Such great photos!

Doesn't snow in South Africa (only in some regions on the mountains). Wish it would tho!

    Thanks everyone!

Yup – she's a beagle. An ornery one, too! 🙂

It’s always exciting to see snow, especially in my location where the weather can be so unpredictable. I can just imagine how happy Kaylee must have been playing fetch in the snow

What a delightful surprise to have snow in Texas! It’s always fun when the weather throws us a curveball, especially with something as magical as contexto snow.
