A few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to visit Paris as a family. It was such an amazing experience and I wanted to share it with you! For the first week, we stayed at Disneyland Paris for Minecon 2012. During our stay, we had to take Andrew to Disneyland!
I had never been to Disneyland, and I was excited to see the European twist on it. It’s funny — when you first walk in the gates, you’re greeted with Main Street America!
The castle is Sleeping Beauty’s castle, and it is so beautiful. This was the 20th Anniversary of Disneyland Paris and it was just before Christmas, so the park was really decked out.
Andrew was too little to ride most of the rides, so we walked around the park and visited the shops. We also made sure we had a good seat for the Parade of Characters, which he loved.
Each night at closing, visitors are treated to the Disneyland Paris Disney Dreams! Show. If you ever get the chance to visit Disneyland Paris, don’t miss this! It was definitely my favorite part.
The show features Peter Pan’s shadow escaping and running through different Disney movies, like Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, and Tangled. It’s broadcast to music and timed to water sprays and fireworks. It really is cool!
We visited the park over several days (when I wasn’t busy with McPVP‘s Minecon booth!) and it was really wonderful. Andrew made a special friend and brought him home as a souvenir. I feel like I’ve crammed a lot into this post, but I have so much more to share with you about our trip!
Have you ever been to Disneyland? What was your favorite part?
