My son is obsessed with Disney’s Big Hero 6, so when it was released on Blu-Ray and DVD, we had to celebrate! I wanted to share our Big Hero 6 Party Ideas so that you can throw a celebration of your own!
I picked up the Big Hero 6 Blu-Ray/DVD + Gift set at Walmart, along with supplies for our party. I also shopped at Walmart.com for some Big Hero 6 toys to use as favors for the party. The Baymax Rocket Fist toys were a huge hit!
Your purchase of the Big Hero 6 Blu-Ray/DVD + Gift With Purchase Set includes a digital movie on Vudu while supplies last! Simply scan your receipt using the Savings Catcher in the Walmart app. Then look for a message on your phone or email. Now you can watch Big Hero 6 on any device!
Big Hero 6 Party Ideas
Every good party needs a fun activity — and I knew exactly what I wanted to do at ours. One of my son’s favorite parts of the movie is when Hiro first shows the Microbots at the idea fair. I wanted to allow the kids at our party to do something similar, so we set up a Microbot Building Station!
Build with Microbots
What you need for this craft:
Mini craft sticks
Hot glue (and adult supervision!)
Paint
Imagination!
Allow party guests to build anything they want by attaching the ends of the craft sticks together. We had two adults at the table using the glue guns so the kids didn’t burn themselves. They told us where to put the glue, and then build the items themselves.
Some of the kids built ladders, some built houses — it was really fun to see their imaginations come out!
Our party menu consisted of Wasabi No-Ginger Apple Slices, Honey Lemon Cake Balls, and Gogo Tomago Disk Cookies. We also served bottles of grape juice with Baymax drink labels –> check out the free printable below!
The kids each got a Baymax Rocket Fist and had fun shooting targets on the wall. This was definitely a highlight of the party!
For decorations, I picked up some white balloons and drew BayMax’s face on them with a permanent marker. I also decorated some white bags the same way, so that each child left with something fun!
The kids had such a fun time! Ready to throw a party of your own?
