Destin Resorts: Snorkeling with Destin Snorkel

Destin Snorkel-008.jpg

During my Destin resorts vacation last weekend, I got the chance to snorkel for the first time ever. Destin Snorkel graciously donated their time and services for our group of bloggers so we could experience this fun water activity.

I was really excited, but also a little anxious because I didn’t know what to expect. The Destin Snorkel crew quickly put my fears to bed, though, with their fun, upbeat attitudes and excitement for our trip.

Destin Resorts: Emerald Grande at HarborWalk Village

Emerald Grande

Last weekend, I had the chance to experience one of the best Destin resorts — Emerald Grande at HarborWalk Village — with a group of 24 bloggers.

We descended on the Emerald Coast for Brandcation, a sponsored weekend getaway that exposes bloggers to a particular area and the amenities it has to offer. In exchange for media rates, and sometimes comped, activities, the bloggers agree to share their experiences with their readers. You all know how much I love to travel, so this experience seemed right up my alley.

SAVE in San Antonio This Spring

Spring in SATX-024.jpg

You know what’s crazy? I’ve lived in Texas my whole life, and I’ve never vacationed in San Antonio. Now that we have Andrew, though, I’m dying to take him to SeaWorld.

Last week, we got the next best thing when we were invited to meet the penguins from SeaWorld San Antonio. It was a lot of fun and we learned lots of info about San Antonio!

Decade of Kissimmee Memories

Old Town

Florida is one of my favorite vacation destinations. The beautiful, clear water and white sandy beaches are so amazing. I’ve been to Seaside and Destin, Jacksonville and Tampa, and even Key West.

But I’ve never had the chance to visit Central Florida and the Orlando-area. I’m hoping that when Andrew is older, we’ll get to visit Disney World and Orlando Studios with a vacation to that area.

Sand and Sun

Beach 0213-008.jpg

Earlier this month, The Nerd took some time off work and we got to visit his family on the Texas Gulf Coast. We got to see Cirque du Soleil and we even visited the Texas State Aquarium.

It was sunny and warm, so we took Andrew down to the beach one day to play in the sand. Our first trip to the beach with Andrew ended in tears, so I had high hopes that this time, he’d love it.

Visiting the Texas State Aquarium

Texas State Aquarium-006.jpg

The Nerd’s work had plant shutdown this week, so we headed south to visit his parents and sister in Corpus Christi, Texas. One thing I knew I wanted to do while we were here was visiting the Texas State Aquarium with Andrew.

I just knew that the blue tanks filled with brightly-colored fish would fascinate him. And I wasn’t disappointed! In fact, we went during the week and we practically had the whole place to ourselves! Andrew spent a good while staring at the dolphin tank, which is where I snapped some of my favorite photos of him ever.

A Day Trip to London From Paris

London 2012-019.jpg

One of my favorite things we did on our trip was take a day trip to London from Paris. I’ve always wanted to visit London, so I couldn’t pass up this opportunity!

We took the Eurostar train one morning into Kings Cross Station. It was so cold and rainy, we decided to take a bus tour of the city to see the sights. We were able to get on and off the bus whenever we wanted, so we stopped at Buckingham Palace and Big Ben.
