Irish Bread Pudding with Caramel Whiskey Sauce

Irish Bread Pudding-027

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I wanted to share a fun, non-traditional Irish recipe with you to celebrate this fun holiday, and I think I’ve found just the one!

This bread pudding is light and moist. It’s complimented by the Caramel Whiskey sauce, which adds a bit of heavy flavoring to it. And I loved the cinnamon-sugar topping. Yummm.

I might have had day dreams about this pudding long after we finished the last bite.

Here’s the pudding with no sauce. It would have even been good on its own.

Notice that beautiful bowl? The wonderful folks at Nambé asked if I would photograph some of my recipes in their dinnerware. After perusing their site and seeing all of the wonderful pieces they offer, I decided on two I thought would bring out the beauty of this dessert.

This is the Tri-Corner Bowl. I just love its clean, sleek design. And you would think the shiny outside would get fingerprints all over it…But it didn’t! How cool is that?

Here’s one of the Butterfly Individual Salad Bowls. The wood is so rustic and gives this dish just the right feel. Don’t you think? I love the smoothness of it. It’s a really great piece.
